How you can help... |
||||||||||||||
|
There are several ways you can help Goodwill continue to help impoverished and destitute children in South India. Donations, however small, all help with the general running of the homes, but more specific sponsorships enable you to keep up-to-date with what's happening, and even to take the opportunity to see for yourself the work Goodwill is doing (see visitor stories). All our regular supporters receive 2 newsletters a year. |

Sponsoring an Individual child costs £240 per year / £20 per month. This provides us with the ongoing funds to care for and educate a named child. You will receive 3 letters each year from your child in India including an annual report with a recent photo. Children are generally with us from the age of 4 or 5 to 16, although some will stay longer if they progress to further education or training. To support a youngster through Trade Training costs £330 per year. |

| Sponsoring a House helps us with the overheads and running costs of our three homes. There is no fixed amount for this although we suggest a minimum of around £240 per year, or £20 per month. You will receive 3 letters a year, in a more general format where all the children in the home contribute, including an annual report which includes a photo of the children in your house. | ||||||||||||||||
| Sponsoring a named village costs £1000 per year. This ensures that the village can be one of 25 in the Tribal Outreach Programme. This programme means that the children can go to their local schools while remaining in their own homes and communities. You will initially receive an in-depth village profile, which includes photos and details of future plans, then regular updates. | ||||||||||||||||
| SCHOOLS LINK
Several schools in the UK operate a Schools Link, where they sponsor an individual or a house. This has proved hugely successful for both the pupils in the UK and the sponsored child / house in India, with both parties able to learn from each other. We are able to supply additional learning material and a representative from the charity can come to visit your school and give a talk. CLUBS, SOCIETIES, COMPANIES & FUNDRAISING GROUPS There as many as 200 clubs, societies, companies and fundraising groups in the UK who sponsor an individual or a house. Many of these groups hear about us from people they know who are also a regular supporter of Goodwill. These wonderful people then arrange for a representative of the charity to give a talk to their group who then fundraise together to support our children in India. If you are able to donate larger sums or wish to leave a legacy, Goodwill is able to use these funds to support larger projects such as the purchase of new land and the upgrading of buildings.
