It is a fantastic sign that our former children feel such a connection to Goodwill and wish to assist us in continuing to help children like them.

Dr Nanjapa gives his time freely to help our children.  About once a month Dr Nanjapa visits all three homes to ensure the girls and boys vaccination programme is up to date as well as monitoring the health of the children. At any one time he is providing treatment for around 30 of the children and keeps in regular touch through calls to Malarjayrani, one of our house mothers with special training in health care.  Dr Nanjapa is a busy man, working with the UN and playing an active role in child protection through an organisation in Chennai; so the time he gives us is extra precious. His family are also committed to helping us and regularly accompany him when he visits.

These three children have had a hard couple of months. At the end of August their father died of a heart attack, 10 days later their mother committed suicide. All three children have been welcomed into the Goodwill homes and are now settled in. Although Goodwill can never replace their family we will give them a kind and loving home for as long as they need it.

This is Chitravel and he is the first graduate in his community. He has been supported through his education by our Tribal Outreach Programme and is now working as a teacher. Everyone at Goodwill is very proud of his achievement.
