Practical and Marketable skills for Tribal Youth in Residential Care

 

For those children who do not wish to continue in the academic study, we offer trade training to give them the skills to earn a living. In 1998 Goodwill set up four vocational training courses within the Pattiveeranpatti and Thandigudi campus. These programmes were extremely successful and courses were also introduced in KC Patti at the TORP community centre. These training workshops provide one-year National Council for Vocational Trade courses in Cutting and Tailoring and Electrical Wiring. Depending on the availability of course trainers, we offer courses in tailoring, basket weaving and electrical wiring.
