Practical and Marketable Skills for Tribal Youth

 

For those children who do not wish to continue in academic study, we offer trade training to give them the skills to earn a living. In 1998, Goodwill set up four vocational training courses within the Pattiveeranpatti and Thandigudi campuses. These programmes were extremely successful, and courses were also introduced in KC Patti at the TORP community centre. These training workshops provide one-year National Council for Vocational Trade courses in Cutting and Tailoring. Depending on the availability of course trainers, we currently only offer courses in tailoring and basket weaving.
